Every detail is examined before a piece enters the vault.

Our specialists review the design, construction, markings, materials and condition of each item. Where available, supporting documents, packaging and purchase history are also reviewed as part of the overall assessment.

A piece will not be listed for sale unless it has passed our internal review and meets the standards expected of LunovaVault.

Authentication is based on the item itself. Boxes, certificates, receipts and accessories may support an assessment, but they are not treated as proof of authenticity on their own.

Our Authentication Process

Each piece is assessed individually. The exact process may vary depending on the brand, category, age and available documentation.

Brand & Model Review

We review the piece against known brand characteristics, including its design language, proportions, production details and period of manufacture.

Hallmarks & Engravings

Brand signatures, serial references, metal markings, typography, placement and engraving quality are examined for consistency.

Materials & Construction

We assess the materials, weight, finish, stone setting, clasp construction, links, joints and other details relevant to the piece.

Craftsmanship Review

The precision, symmetry, polishing, assembly and finishing are inspected for the level of craftsmanship associated with the brand.

Condition Assessment

Signs of wear, repairs, polishing, replacement components and alterations are reviewed and reflected in the product description where applicable.

Final Approval

The available information is considered together before the piece receives final approval and is released for sale.

Supporting accessories are helpful, but our review focuses primarily on the physical piece and its individual characteristics.

A note about pre-owned luxury

Pre-owned and vintage pieces may show natural wear, previous polishing, repairs, replaced components or differences in packaging. These characteristics do not automatically indicate that an item is inauthentic. When known, material condition details will be disclosed in the product description or communicated before purchase.

Does every item include its original box and certificate?

Not necessarily. Because our pieces are pre-owned, the included accessories differ from item to item. The product description will indicate whether a box, certificate, receipt or other accessories are included.

Is a box or certificate enough to prove authenticity?

No. Packaging and documents can be replaced, separated from the original item or reproduced. For this reason, authentication is based primarily on the physical piece and its individual details.

Can I request more photographs or videos?

Yes. You may contact our Customer Care team before purchasing to request available close-up photographs, videos, hallmark images, condition details and information about included accessories.

Can I arrange third-party authentication?

In many cases, independent authentication or appraisal can be discussed before purchase. Availability depends on the item, location and service provider. Please contact us for the options available for a specific piece.

What should I do if I have an authenticity concern?

Contact Customer Care as soon as possible and include your order number, the reason for your concern and any supporting information. Our team will review the matter and explain the appropriate next steps under our Lifetime Guarantee.
